Don't forget that I have the http://sun2.highwayusa.com/gzchat/ chat site that we can use.

If I can get the audio stream going that should help with people like me that have all of the fun stuff blocked at work.

Below is from Jeff Weiner's article Friday in the Orlando Sentinel.

I believe MOM is challenging Crump's statement (lie) that there was a "cleaned up version" of the audio tape. Crump is so arrogant he thinks all people are stupid.

-Other paperwork filed Friday by the defense included:

• A request to add five more civilian witnesses to the defense's list. Circuit Judge Debra Nelson's deadline for adding witnesses has passed, but Zimmerman's lawyers say there is "no prejudice" to the state in adding the new witnesses.

The witnesses were not identified by name in the defense motion.

• A demand for any remaining data from Trayvon Martin's cell phone that hasn't been turned over yet.

• A demand for any "cleaned up, edited and/or enhanced version" of the 911 call which captured the screams which led up to the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Feb. 26 in Sanford.

That request stems from comments made by Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump: Police claim Trayvon's father, Tracy Martin, listened to the call and said the screams weren't his son's, but Crump has said Tracy Martin actually told police he couldn't identify the voice, due to distortion, but later heard a cleaned-up version and was sure it was Trayvon. :84

The new motions are set to be argued among several others at a hearing Tuesday. Trial in the case is currently set for June.

From CTH...... cbolt's predictions for tomorrow's hearing
http://theconservativetreehouse.com/201 ... ent-380664

cboldt says:
Quote:
April 29, 2013 at 8:30 pm

No decision on unsealing the confidential settlement. No admonishment of Crump for failing to notify the other parties to the confidential settlement agreement, even though such failure is serious and worhty of admonishment. If somebody doesn’t tell Nelson that Crump screwed up, she won’t know (or will at least pretend to not know).
Bernardo will be subdued, but Nelson won’t sanction him. He’ll get a hand slap for the drunken rant pleading.
The state will say there is no enhanced 911 call – Tracy will finger changes to the sound reporduction equipment, surroundings, etc. as being the “enhancement,” rather than the recording being available in multiple versions.
Nelson will remind the state that motion for immunity is a defendant’s prerogative. She won’t ask Zimmerman or O’Mara to disclose plans or contingencies relating to timing of filing of motion for immunity. She’ll handle the motion and any response when they are submitted.

cbolt often talks legal sense (IMO)

This post is a bit of a reality check..... it is about what you would expect based on Nelson's previous rulings.

The DCA thing may have little or no effect.... cbolt may well be correct :eek

Can't expect much different from Nelson anyhow... :roll

What ever her decisions are she made her mind up well before tomorrow. I don't even know why she bothers to to ask for verbal arguments.

:22

On another note...I woke up late today and I thought I had missed the hearing! I felt like a total doofus. :6

My sister is not happy she is a Seminole dispatcher. They have to schedule vacation time 6 or more months in advance and they were told a couple of days ago that there are no vacations from start to finish of trial.

Reminder

As well as this DAILY discussion thread about the GZ case... there is also

DAILY DAFT POSTS FROM JUSTARSE QUEST
viewtopic.php?f=45&t=822&p=34397#p34397

The JQ Sewer rats continue to spit in Bakerprune's face as they run off to join CW...

Disloyal JQ Alpha Cretins now posting at CW are actively recruiting from JQ :eek

I did suggest some time ago that JQ ban the lot of them, and perhaps regain some of their old reputation as a serious forum...

..... so no great loss if the Cretins "Self-ban" themselves.

After all Bakerprune64 did for them :stamp

But never fear... we will quote daft wherever they dump it.

If only Trayvon had kept his hands in his pockets, none of this would have happened.

Strain on police resources for high profile trial is just one example of a special circumstance which motivates toward DCA ruling on the merits of deposing Crump now, rather than potentially retrying the case.

Santa Maria, CA made a fortune on the Jackson trial. I expect Seminole County will with this trial, too.

I'll make mine simple: Nelson rules in favor of Crump / State at every opportunity.

I think that was the gist of what cbolt said :)

I value your legal opinion too John

As I have said already... the DCA thing "hanging over" Nelson offers a spark of hope.....

I think I have snapped out of it

Pessimism is a fairly safe bet with Nelson.

No bus smiley as a link to next thread :)

I think a fleet of wheel chairs and ambulances would be more appropriate where they do that :lol
