I was gonna say, maybe she was in the process of earning a 3rd mugshot, which was why she has been so out of pocket?

Don West making the opening statement is a good choice.
He comes across as no-nonsense guy, with a calm, in-charge type demeanor.

I'm assuming that O'Mara will make the closing statement, which will also be a good choice.
My analysis of MOM's questioning of the PJs in a group was that he was "teaching" them about the Constitution and the law.
The PJs seemed to want/need that teaching....

Compare West/O'Mara to Bernie's clown antics and sarcastic, bullying statements.

I'm thinking that the jurors will "look to" O'Mara to pull it all together and teach them about what happened during the closing statement.

Francis Oliver interview from 2012. OMG! She basically admits that this trial has nothing to do with Zimmerman but rather the racial inequity in the town of Sanford way back to 1911. This is so sickening.....

George is just the scapegoat for decades of racism in the area and Oliver reeks from her paranoia and vindictiveness.

This is going to get very ugly.

There has been a string of recent cases of whites attacking or killing blacks in which the police have appeared less than enthusiastic about making an arrest. Some of the cases have been dismissed.

"It's going to be a long process, this fight. It's been since 1911 when they took Goldsboro from us," she said. "With this there are going to be divisions, but I'm not going to hold the whole city accountable. It was the police department."

"And as soon as all of y'all are gone," she said, referring to the press, "we're going to shut this place down."
