George Zimmerman Kills One Deal ... Strikes Bigger One for Trayvon Gun
5/20/2016 2:02 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

George Zimmerman will now make $100,000 more than anticipated for the sale of the gun he used to kill Trayvon Martin -- because he got a much bigger offer for the 9 mm weapon.

Zimmerman had reached a deal with a Florida bar owner to sell it Friday for $150k -- but at the last minute Zimmerman pulled the plug when he found out someone else was offering $250k.

Sources connected to Zimmerman tell us a female bidder contacted his attorney Thursday to make a deposit. Zimmerman initially didn't take the offer seriously, but we're told her funds were verified before the auction ended.

We're told it's now a done deal at the $250k price tag. Still unclear if the purchaser will remain anonymous.

Attorney Natalie Jackson suspended for fund mishap
Elyssa Cherney, Staff Writer

The Florida Bar has suspended prominent Central Florida civil rights attorney Natalie Jackson for 90 days over the mismanagement of her practice's funds.

A bank notified the Bar in July that Jackson had overdrawn $64 from her trust fund, an account attorneys are mandated to create for client expenses that is separate from their personal and business money, according to Bar documents.

An ensuing Bar audit from January 2015 to September 2015 found that Jackson had improperly mixed the money and sometimes failed to identify clients associated with transactions, the documents show.

George Zimmerman charged with stalking private eye working on Jay-Z project
Zimmerman was allegedly enraged about the rapper's Trayvon Martin documentary.
by Tracy Connor and Tom Winter / May.08.2018 / 9:17

George Zimmerman, who was acquitted of murdering unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin, has been charged with stalking a private investigator working on a Jay-Z documentary about the case.

Over the course of nine days in December, Dennis Warren got 55 calls, 67 text messages, 36 voicemails and 27 emails from Zimmerman, according to court documents. Zimmerman allegedly also threatened to feed the investigator to an alligator, the court papers show.

Zimmerman, who's had several run-ins with law enforcement since the racially charged 2012 case that ignited protests, is scheduled to be arraigned on the single misdemeanor charge on May 30.

George Zimmerman tells court he's $2.5 million in debt
By AP | WFLA.com | May 24, 2018

SANFORD, Fla. (AP) - The ex-neighborhood watch volunteer who killed a black teen in Florida in 2012 says he's $2.5 million in debt and has no income.

George Zimmerman filed paperwork detailing his financial state as he fights a misdemeanor stalking charge.

The Orlando Sentinel reports a public defender filed a not-guilty plea for Zimmerman and a request for a jury trial.

Zimmerman is accused of sending threatening messages to private investigator Dennis Warren. Warren had contacted Zimmerman about a documentary series on the slain Trayvon Martin that's being produced by rapper Jay Z. A sheriff's report says Warren received numerous calls and texts from Zimmerman in December.

A judge earlier this month denied Warren's request for a restraining order against Zimmerman.

Judge in George Zimmerman stalking case: 'I hate to keep saying that name out loud'
By Michael Williams | Orlando-Sentinel | July 31, 2018

George Zimmerman’s misdemeanor stalking case returned to court Tuesday in Seminole County for a pre-trial hearing.

During the hearing, Circuit Judge Mark Herr again warned the parties involved to not dredge up Zimmerman’s history with the Trayvon Martin case, in which he was acquitted of second-degree murder in 2013.

“We are not going back five years,” Herr said. “We’re not going back to the first time we heard this man’s name in the county.” Referring to Zimmerman, he also said, “I hate to keep saying that name out loud.”

In the stalking case, Zimmerman is accused of harassing a private investigator involved in a documentary about the shooting.

The private investigator, Dennis Warren, told deputies that over the course of nine days in December, he had received 55 phone calls, 67 text messages, 36 voicemails and 27 emails from Zimmerman.

Authorities said Zimmerman also threatened to feed Warren to an alligator — a threat he also made against the rapper Jay-Z, who is producing the docuseries. Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty.

Warren was supposed to take part in a deposition July 25. As part of that deposition, Zimmerman’s lawyer, Zahra Umansky, subpoenaed Warren to bring all documents and other materials relating to “Warren’s investigation of George Zimmerman.”

The next hearing in the case is expected to be September 5.

George Zimmerman sues Elizabeth Warren and Pete Buttigieg for $265 million saying they defamed him as a 'white supremacist and racist' in tweets about Trayvon Martin in order to 'pander to black voters'

  • Zimmerman filed the lawsuit against the candidates on Tuesday in Florida
  • He says both Warren and Buttigieg defamed him to pander to black voters
  • Both candidates tweeted about Trayvon Martin on February 5, Martin's birthday
  • Zimmerman fatally shot Martin in 2012 and was acquitted on self-defense
  • Suit says Warren and Buttigieg falsely accused Zimmerman of racism
  • Zimmerman says he is 'Hispanic, a minority advocate, and an Obama supporter'
  • He previously sued Martin's family for $100M accusing them of false testimony

George Zimmerman has sued Senator Elizabeth Warren and Pete Buttigieg, accusing the Democratic presidential candidates of defamation over tweets about the death of Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman filed the lawsuit seeking $265 million in Polk County, Florida on Tuesday, in response to Warren and Buttigieg's tweets on February 5, which would have been Martin's 25th birthday.

In 2012, Zimmerman fatally shot 17-year-old Martin during an altercation, and was acquitted on all charges in the case on grounds of self-defense.

His new suit accuses the two Democrat candidates of using Martin's death 'as a pretext to demagogue and falsely brand Zimmerman as a white supremacist and racist to their millions of Twitter followers.'

Buttigieg and Warren, who have both faced questions about support among black voters, used Martin's birthday as an opportunity to tweet about the case.

'Trayvon Martin would have been 25 today. How many 25th birthdays have been stolen from us by white supremacy, gun violence, prejudice, and fear? #BlackLivesMatter,' Buttigieg tweeted to his 1.6 million followers.

Warren chimed in: “My heart goes out to @SybrinaFulton and Trayvon's family and friends. He should still be with us today. We need to end gun violence and racism. And we need to build a world where all of our children—especially young Black boys—can grow up safe and free.”

In the tweet to her 3.6 million followers, Warren added four photos of Martin as a young child, between the ages of 4 and 10.

Zimmerman Prosecutors Deny the Undeniable As Lawsuit Proceeds
By Jack Cashill
April 14, 2020

George Zimmerman's lawsuit saga is unfolding though the Florida court system in the form of depositions and a powerful but little known tool called "Requests for Admissions."

Under Florida Law, a plaintiff can submit a list of up to 30 questions, each beginning, "Admit that you...." Under penalty of perjury, the defendant must either admit or deny each statement. If the defendant doesn’t bother to answer any of the questions, the court assumes that they are admitted as true.

In the way of background, Zimmerman is charging that Trayvon Martin’s support team, including Martin’s parents and their attorney Benjamin Crump, knowingly substituted an imposter witness for the real “phone witness” in order to secure Zimmerman’s arrest for the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman and his attorney Larry Klayman were inspired to launch the suit based on the research of filmmaker Joel Gilbert, as seen in his documentary film and book of the same name, “The Trayvon Hoax: Unmasking the Witness Fraud that Divided America.”

Among the eleven defendants in this case, arguably the most vulnerable are the prosecutors who brought it, former state attorney Angela Corey and former assistant state attorneys Bernie de la Rionda and John Guy. Corey and de la Rionda have both since retired, and Guy is now a sitting Florida judge.

In reading through their respective responses, one gets the sense that Corey and Guy are setting up lead prosecutor de la Rionda for the fall. Corey, for one, has washed her hands of all responsibility. She replied to each of the questions with the same answer, “COREY is unable to admit or deny the statement... as her involvement in this case was very limited, such that, she does not have personal knowledge of the information requested.”
