Jacksonville, FL — The search for 12 people who know little to nothing about the trial of Michael Dunn is underway.

The Clerk of Courts Office has confirmed to WOKV that 526 jurors were checked in today. That pool consists of potential jurors for 17 different panels, however, so not all will be considered for the Dunn trial. That breakout number is not immediately available. The Clerk’s Office says this number of jurors is considered on the higher end of the pool size they would normally deal with, which normally averages closer to 300-400. There has been significant concern in the hearings leading up to the trial about finding an impartial panel.

#michaeldunn Judge : Jury selection could take "a couple of days." No outside research on case for potentials

Court not back in session yet...potential #MichaelDunn jurors went to lunch around 12:10pm. Should resume soon

Judge sending some #MichaelDunn potential jurors home for day...but they will have to be back tomorrow at 1pm

Potential jurors being split into 3 groups after filling out questionnaires this AM.

Judge: Can you set aside your dislike for guns and think about what happened to render verdict? - Potential: Yes

She comes back tomorrow at 1pm.

Other potential #michaelDunn juror says he's a physician at Mayo Clinic and is on-call.

Juror #4, female, also said #michaeldunn trial sequestration would be hardship for work and school starting Feb. 10.

Juror #6, female, mom said she has formed an opinion on guilt or innocence on #michaeldunn case, but could be fair in trial.

Juror #19, female, works in healthcare, mom of 2 teens, said sequestration is hardship and has heard of #michaeldunn case. Contd.

Judge Healey wanting to take a 15 minute break and let a few people go home. Have gone through 10 potential #michaeldunn trial jurors so far
