Armed police have shot dead a suspected terrorist feared to be wearing a suicide vest after at least two people were stabbed during a machete rampage on a busy south London high street - three months after two were killed in London Bridge horror.

Officers raced to the scene outside a supermarket on High Road in Streatham at around 2pm today following reports of gunfire.

Photos from the scene show a lifeless body face down on the pavement with what have been described as 'silver canisters' strapped to his chest with a large knife is lying beside him.

In one video, police toting machine guns and masked undercover officers are seen approaching the suspect's body before rapidly moving away from the area.

Scotland Yard declared the broad daylight carnage as a terror-related incident around an hour after first reports from the scene. The area remains on emergency police shutdown.

Streatham terror attack LIVE: Three injured and suspect shot dead in 'Islamist-related' incident
Bronwen Weatherby

A man has been shot by armed police during a terrorist attack police now believe was "Islamist-related".

Three people were injured after the suspect went on a knife rampage wearing a hoax bomb vest, Metropolitan Police confirmed.

One of the victims is in a life-threatening condition, while the other two are being treated in hospital for their injuries.

Eye-witnesses report seeing the suspect with 'silver canisters on his chest' before he was shot dead at around 2pm on Streatham High Road.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has returned to Downing Street to head up the government's response to the attack while forensic officers scour the crime scene for evidence.

Streatham suspect named as convicted terror offender Sudesh Amman

IF he is a CONVICTED TERRORIST... why is he not in prison... or dead a long time ago?

-------------------
The man shot dead is believed to have been released at the end of January, Whitehall sources have told journalists.

He had served half of his jail term.

He was under strict licencing terms and was under surveillance.

Met Police statement about knifeman Sudesh Amman who stabbed two people in Streatham
Feb 3, 2020
The Sun

Victims (2 - 3)
1. Man in his 40s stabbed in stomach. Initially said to be "life threatening" but OKish now
2 . Woman Cyclist in her 50s stabbed in back. Treated and released from hospital.
3. Woman injured by flying glass (after police shots?) is in hospital, but ok

BTW
The Savage DID yell 'Allahu Akbar'.... as savages do and people often do not report :roll
Image

Many sites show short clip of savage down and police pointing guns... but backing away from the wounded perp.
Uncensored version (twitter) shows the savage was twitching a bit (still alive) but apparently cops saw the (fake) suicide vest and backed away. As somebody commented... lets hope it took a while for him to bleed out.. and it hurt like hell. :)

In the rush to get there, one police car crashed into a driveway on a residential street a mile away.

So this guy was a terrorist who served time in jail for terrorism against the British people - then he's let out onto the streets again and commits more terrorism?
When will the idiot "lawmakers" learn that these people can't be rehabbed?

Once they're out of jail, strip them of their citizenship and deport to their terrorist country of choice.

Apparently he was being trailed by armed police because they KNEW he was a risk if released. I would say that in that case they should NOT RELEASE HIM (ever) ... or else shoot him dead as he is released.

Why can't or won't they do what I suggested?

Are they afraid of being "mean"?

DEPORTING is not a good idea... they help radicalize others back in their homelands... and continue to commit atrocities overseas, or even sneak back.

Metropolitan Police Federation

Two Metropolitan Police officers who were bravely responding to the terrorist attack in Streatham have been left dumbstruck after being told they are under investigation by the policing watchdog for their actions that day.

In a move described as “astonishing“ by the Metropolitan Police Federation, the armed police officers now face their jobs being in jeopardy as the Independent Office for Police Conduct probes their work as they navigated their vehicles through London’s busy streets to assist colleagues who confronted terrorist Sudesh Amman.
