Li At least two people are dead and 12 wounded after a shooting Tuesday night in the French city of Strasbourg, with police searching for a suspect who is on a terrorist watch list and whose home officers raided earlier in the day in a burglary probe. The shooting took place around 8 p.m. near a Christmas market in Strasbourg, France, that attracts millions of tourists every year. The suspect was still at large a few hours later, and at one point police were engaged in a firefight in the neighborhood of Neudorf in Strasbourg. @IntelliTimes According to partial information from the terrorist attack in Strasbourg, the name of the shooter is Sharif, a 29-year-old radical Muslim, probably of Moroccan origin, who lived in Strasbourg. This picture (maybe)  Report: Wounded at scene (by police) but escaped... manhunt underway |

Police went to arrest him for Burglary this morning.. but he was not there. Police found hand-grenades at his home.. and obviously he also has at least one gun? So HOW did cops who were "watching him" miss him acquiring weapons. Reports: Shooter had a knife and an automatic weapon (rifle? pistol) |

Shooter fled in a Taxi ... that he stole? That was 4 hours ago.... so he could be miles away... in Germany for instance.

French police release image of Christmas market attack suspect The 29-year-old man was wounded after being cornered by armed police but managed to escape, triggering a huge manhunt. French police have released a photo of the man suspected of killing two people and leaving another brain dead at a Christmas market in Strasbourg. Cheriff Chekatt, 29, is said to have shouted "Allahu Akbar" before the attack in France that left 13 people injured - six of them seriously. The killer, who opened fire with a handgun and used a knife to stab people, is still on the run after he was shot in the arm during a gunfight with police.
