Sweden has certain levels of suspicion in order to arrest someone. The suspect is at the highest level and it sounds like he has confessed. Also, a second person was arrested. This is all below the map where updated news is timestamped. So here's this while we await the identification of the terrorist(s).

Stockholm attack driver 'deliberately targeted young children' as he drove hijacked lorry into crowd
By James Rothwell, Peter Foster | The Telegraph | April 6, 2017

A suspected terrorist targeted young children as he drove a hijacked lorry into a crowded shopping street in Stockholm, witnesses claimed last night.

Infants’ buggies were sent “flying through the air”, one Swedish broadcaster reported, as the vehicle zigzagged along the pedestrianised Queen Street shopping district and embedded itself in the window of a department store.

“It swerved from side to side. It didn’t look out of control, it was trying to hit people,” a second witness, Glen Foran, an Australian tourist, told Reuters. “It hit people, it was terrible. It hit a pram with a kid in it, demolished it.”

Swedish police said on Saturday morning that they believe a 39-year-old suspect was behind the truck attack which left four dead and 15 injured, but declined to comment on reports that the suspect was a father-of-four from Uzbekistan.

The unnamed suspect reportedly confessed to the attack after being detained in Marsta, which is around 25 miles north of the Swedish capital.

Some reports suggested he had previously posted jihadist propaganda on his Facebook page and had images of people injured in the explosion at the Boston marathon in April 2013.

Police found explosives in the truck used in the attack in Stockholm, Swedish television said on Saturday citing multiple unnamed police sources.

Eight victims, including children, remain in hospital, according to Swedish media. Three of the victims died at the scene, a report said, while one died after arriving at the hospital.

THIS is the face of the man suspected of driving the truck that ploughed through crowds, killing four in a terror attack in the streets of Stockholm.

Rakhmat Akilov, 39, was named by local media as the man arrested by Swedish police in the wake of the fatal attack that saw dozens hurt, including one Brit injured fatally.

Details around the suspected terrorist, a 39-year-old Uzbekistan man, have now been released with Swedish police revealing he was an asylum seeker who had his application rejected in June last year and was wanted for deportation by immigration officials.

The man had managed to avoid authorities, having given them the wrong address.

Norway raises threat level after Oslo bomb scare
By Reuters World News | April 9, 2017

Norwegian police raised the country's security threat level following the discovery of an explosive device in central Oslo late on Saturday.

A 17-year-old Russian citizen, who had lived in Norway since 2010 and had applied for asylum, was a suspect in the case and was in custody, police said on Sunday, after they set off a controlled explosion of a "bomb-like device" on Saturday night.

The suspect has denied any guilt, his lawyer told tabloid Verdens Gang.

The risk of an attack taking place in Norway has been raised to "probable" from "possible", Benedicte Bjoernland, head of the police security service (PST), told a news conference, adding that the new threat level will be in place for two months.

It remained unclear if the 17-year-old had acted on his own, she said, or whether or not he had intentions of carrying out an attack.

"But it's likely that the attacks during the last year in France, Germany, Britain, Russia and Sweden are having a contagious effect also in Norway, impacting people with extreme Islamist sympathies," Bjoernland added.

The police bomb squad said the device found in Oslo was about 30 cm (1 ft) across and had appeared capable of causing only a limited amount of damage.

Stockholm truck attack suspect admits to “terrorist crime,” lawyer says
By CBS News/AP | April 11, 2017

STOCKHOLM -- The man suspected of using a truck to mow down a crowd of people on a busy Stockholm street admitted to committing “a terrorist crime,” his lawyer said on Tuesday, according to the Reuters news agency.

39-year-old Uzbek national Rakhmat Akilov’s councel, Johan Eriksson, told a custody hearing that Akilov “acknowledges the terrorist charge and agrees to be arrested.”

Eriksson was speaking to reporters outside the courthouse minutes before the court was scheduled to decide on a formal order by prosecutors to continue the detention of the 39-year-old Uzbek-born man.
