I see they are Illuminating the Eiffel tower and other landmarks in European countries, in the colors of the Belgian flag :roll

Fat lot of Fucking good that did after Paris...

They should be illuminating the Muslim Ghettos in major European cities, with spot lights as they round up ALL the residents and ship them back to some desert area somewhere.

Update: 31 dead and 250 wounded

The Belgian health minister Maggie De Block has just spoken to Belgian broadcaster VTM and said there were 250 injured and 31 dead.

11 killed at Brussels Airport and 20 at the Maelbeek metro station.

There have been several conflicting reports on the numbers of dead and injured from both attacks. We will use De Block’s numbers until the next official update.

Heartbreaking Prescience – A Pre-Recorded Video Message From Brussels For Donald Trump…
Posted on March 22, 2016 by sundance
This is just unreal. Absolutely unreal.

This absolute MUST WATCH video was recorded a little over a week ago as a message to presidential candidate Donald Trump from Brussels Belgium.

Stunning in its prescience. Jaw dropping, and simultaneously heartbreaking, message in hindsight.

PIERS MORGAN: When it comes to terror, isn’t it time we started listening seriously to Trump?
By Piers Morgan for MailOnline
Published: 19:11 GMT, 22 March 2016 | Updated: 19:27 GMT, 22 March 2016

How many more?

That’s all I could think this morning as news broke of yet another ISIS terror attack, this time in Brussels.

How many more innocent men, women and children are going to be blown to pieces by these murderous bastards?

How many more airports, train stations, sports stadiums, restaurants or concert halls will be obliterated in a hail of suicide bombs and bullets?

How many more world leaders will wring their hands on national television afterwards and spout pointless platitudes about the ‘poor brave victims’ and ‘heroic emergency services’?

How many taunting, gleeful claims of responsibility will the despicable perpetrators of these evil crimes be able to issue?

I’m sick of this, aren’t you?

Sick of feeling sick about such endless, senseless barbarism.

And the worst thing about it is that I see no end.

France, reeling from two horrendous attacks in Paris, is understandably highly fearful of yet more terror coming its way.

Belgium officials effectively conceded today that they have no real way to protect themselves against the ISIS threat. A fact surely born out by the fact that today’s onslaught in Brussels happened right when the city most expected it, following the capture of Paris attacks suspect Saleh Abdeslam three days ago.

Britain, surely a target anytime soon, is on red alert but its warring politicians are too distracted by the upcoming EU referendum in June to pay anything more than lame lip service to terrorism.

So nobody seems to be doing anything concrete to stop ISIS, or even suggesting a new way to do so given the spectacular lack of success to date.

Well almost nobody.

By coincidence, I had an interview scheduled today with the world’s most controversial man, Donald Trump, for my UK show, Good Morning Britain.

It was set up a couple of weeks ago, but the timing was eerily prescient.

Here is one man who definitely has a plan to deal with ISIS terrorism. Several plans in fact.

The military hospital in Neder-over-Heembeek in northern Brussels has been treating victims of Tuesday’s attacks. Here is an x-ray of a person’s chest, which shows a big nail or screw.

The Belgian federal prosecutor’s office this afternoon said that a bomb with nails in was discovered during the raids on Schaerbeek.

Summary: what we know so far
Claire Phipps

  • At least 31 people are known to have died in a series of explosions in Brussels on Tuesday morning.
  • The first two blasts were at Zaventem airport, to the north-east of the city centre, at around 8am local time; 11 people died here and at least 92 were injured.
  • A third went off at Maelbeek metro station on the rue de la Loi, close to the European Union headquarters. Twenty people died in this attack and 130 were injured.
  • Two of the suspected attackers were captured on CCTV dressed in black and wearing black gloves on their left hands thought to have concealed detonators. Federal prosecutor Frederic van Leeuw said the two men “very likely committed a suicide attack”.
  • Belgian police launched a series of raids in a massive manhunt for a third man, who is thought to have escaped following the attacks. The identities of the men are not known.
  • An explosive device containing nails, “chemical products” and an Isis flag were discovered in a raid in Schaarbeek, a northern suburb of Brussels.
  • Islamic State claimed responsibility for the terror attacks, saying its operatives had carried out “a series of bombings with explosive belts and devices”. It said its extremists had opened fire at the airport and that “several of them” detonated suicide belts in both attacks.
  • But it was still “too early to make a direct connection between the attacks in Paris and today’s attacks”, Van Leeuw said.
  • The Belgian prime minister, Charles Michel, described it as a “black day” for Belgium, saying: “What we feared has happened.” He said Belgium would have three days of national mourning.
  • The League of Imams in Belgium condemned “firmly the criminal and unspeakable acts … which took the lives of tens of our citizens and injured countless others”.
  • Vigils have taken place across Belgium, including at Brussels’ Place de la Bourse.
Brussels Airport will remain closed on Wednesday, and the metro will be running a reduced service. But schools are expected to open as normal following Tuesday’s city lockdown.

Francis Vermeiren, the mayor of Zaventem, where the airport is located, has told reporters the suspects “came in a taxi with their suitcases, their bombs were in their bags”:

They put their suitcases on trolleys, the first two bombs exploded.
The third also put his on a trolley but he must have panicked, it did not explode.

The first two men are believed to have died in the attacks, the federal prosecutor said earlier on Tuesday.

The third man, pictured wearing a light-coloured jacket and a hat in CCTV images from the airport, is thought to have escaped the scene of the explosions. Belgian police are staging a massive manhunt to find him.

Details of injured Americans
We have some more details of Americans who were injured in the attacks. The AFP news agency has these details on three Mormon missionaries from Utah who were seriously wounded in the blasts at the airport.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said in a statement that Mason Wells, 19, Richard Norby, 66, and Joseph Empey, 20, were accompanying a French colleague who was heading to the US and was also wounded.

AFP reports:
US media reports said that in a dark twist of fate, Wells had a similarly close call three years ago while in Boston accompanying his mother who was running the marathon.
The event was the target of a terror attack that killed three and wounded scores more.
NBC News, quoting Wells’s family, said he was also in Paris in November when the French capital was rocked by a series of attacks.
Utah’s Deseret News daily quoted a friend of the Wells family as saying the teen and Empey had both suffered burns and other injuries.
Wells “has burns to his hands and legs and some to his face”, Lloyd Coleman told the paper.
“Most of the damage is around his foot and ankle. A heel took the most damage, and the doctors are repairing it, but the family doesn’t know how bad the injury is.”

The US air force earlier said one of its service members from Joint Force Command Brunssum (a Nato command), the Netherlands, along with several of his relatives were also injured but their names and details of their conditions have not been released.

Belgian police have issued these further images of the man they believe fled the airport after his bomb failed to detonate, asking: “Do you recognise this man?”

Trump accuses Muslims of 'protecting each other'

US presidential candidate Donald Trump has urged British Muslims to do more to report extremism.

In an interview with Piers Morgan on ITV’s Good Morning Britain he said: “It’s like they are protecting each other. They have to open up to society, they have to report the bad ones.”

Speaking in the aftermath of the Brussels attacks, said: “I would say this to Muslims ... when they see trouble they have to report it. They are not reporting it.”

Airport suicide bombers identified

Image

Belgium’s state broadcaster RTBF has named Khalid and Ibrahim el-Bakraoui as the two men who detonated suitcase bombs, killing themselves and several others, at Zaventem airport.

The brothers were already being sought by police, suspected of hiring properties as hideouts for the Paris terrorist team.

The Belgian state broadcaster RTBF is reporting that two of the suspected terrorist suicide-bombers at Brussels airport were Khalid and Ibrahim el-Bakraoui.

The Belgian el-Bakraoui brothers were well-known to the police as longstanding criminals in the Belgian capital and more recently it emerged they had clear links to November’s Paris attacks.

This connection to the Paris attacks and to recent police raids in Brussels, in which some suspects escaped from police, is a very significant development. If the Brussels bombers prove to be part of the same cell as the Paris attackers, this will raise serious questions about potential police and intelligence failings.

The el-Bakraoui brothers are from Brussels and have a long history in organised crime in Belgium. They were among the suspects on the run and being hunted by Belgian police since the police raids of recent days.

One of the brothers had rented the flat in Forest, south west Brussels which was raided by police last Tuesday, exactly a week before the Brussels attacks, and where Salah Abdeslam, the Paris suspect had been present. In that Forest raid, heavy weapons and an Islamic State flag were found and one member of the Paris attacks cell, an Algerian Mohamed Belkaïd, was shot by a police sniper.

One of the el-Bakraoui brothers is also known to have rented one of the hideouts of the Paris jihadist team, in Charleroi in Belgium, where two of the attackers met before heading to Paris in November to carry out the attacks that killed 130 people: Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the ringleader, and Bilal Hadfi, one of the Stade de France suicide bombers.

One of the el-Bakraoui brothers is also believed to have provided ammunition and weapons for the Paris attacks in which gunmen opened fire on bars and at a rock concert at the Bataclan, RTBF reported.

3rd Rag-head terrorist

Image

The Brussels airport attacker still at large has been tentatively identified by the Belgium media as Najim Laachraoui.

He is described by DH.be as a possible suspect based on an apparent resemblance to a photo of Laachroui released by police last night.

Laachraoui was already wanted by the police after his DNA was been found in houses used by the Paris attackers last year, prosecutors said on Monday.

He had traveled to Hungary in September with Paris attacks prime suspect Salah Abdeslam.

---------------------------
Angelique Chrisafis in Brussels has more on the third possible suspect in the airport attack.

Najim Laachraoui, 24, who Belgian media reported grew up in the Brussels neighbourhood of Schaerbeek, was well-known to police.

He is believed to have travelled to Syria in 2013 and was thought to have been key in a recruitment ring of Brussels youths for jihad.

In 2014 an international arrest warrant was issued against him, but this appears not to have stopped him returning to Belgium. Since December, police investigating the Paris attacks have been looking for a man under the alias of Soufiane Kayal who it recently emerged was Laachraoui. His DNA was found in two hideouts used by Paris attackers and also on explosive material.

The state broadcaster RTBF reported that he could have been one of the bombmakers involved in November’s Paris attacks.

Seems that he and Abdeslam were associates. Abdeslam’s arrest seems to have been the the trigger which accelerated the Brussels attack.
