Judges in Belgium have issued an international arrest warrant for a second man in connection with the terrorist atrocities in Paris.

Mohamed Abrini, 30, was filmed at a petrol station on the road to Paris driving a rented Renault Clio on November 11 at 7pm. Two days later, the car was used in the massacre which killed 130 people.

The passenger in the car was Salah Abdeslam, whose brother hired two other cars used in the attacks 11 days ago and who is also being hunted by police in Belgium and France.

The car was filmed at a petrol station in Ressons, on the motorway to Paris. Abrini is shown in CCTV stills getting into the car holding two soft drinks.

He is described as dangerous and “probably armed”, and witnesses are urged not to approach him.

The Clio was discovered in the 18th arrondissement of Paris on Tuesday, some distance from where diners and clubbers were killed in co-ordinated gun and suicide bomb attacks.

Paris Climate Change Activists ‘Desecrate’ Memorial To Terror Victims
By Sarkis Zeronian | Breitbart.com | 30 Nov 2015

Climate change activists at the United Nations COP21 environmental summit have been condemned for wrecking the public memorial to the Paris attacks victims.

Over 300 climate change activists, left-wing extremists and fellow travelers were arrested yesterday as violence broke out in the Place de la Republique, the square that has become the focal point for locals intent on expressing their unity and solidarity with the Paris attacks victims.

At the square’s centre stands a statue of Marianne — a national symbol of the French Republic — which has become a makeshift shrine.

Bouquets, candles and other objects have been left there by those paying their respects to the memory of the dead of both the recent Paris attacks, and of January’s Charlie Hebdo and Jewish supermarket killings.

Yesterday, however, those objects became ammunition for rioting activists defying a ban on public protests imposed as a result of the recent Paris attacks. Activists were intent on attacking the police, reports The Local.

Third Bataclan Theatre attacker is finally identified: Radicalised Frenchman, 23, travelled to Syria two years ago with his brother and only returned when his mum paid his way

  • Third man involved in the slaughter is named as Foued Mohamed Aggad
  • 23-year-old, from Strasbourg, eastern France, 'travelled to Syria in 2013'
  • Aggad identified last week after DNA was matched with family members

Foued Mohamed Aggad, from Strasbourg

French police have finally identified the third Bataclan theatre attacker, nearly a month after the massacre in Paris.

Foued Mohamed Aggad, from the eastern French city of Strasbourg, has been named as the 'third suicide bomber' involved in the slaughter on November 13.

Ninety people were gunned down by ISIS terrorists at the music venue as they were watching a performance by the rock group Eagles of Death Metal.

Aggad's identity was revealed as it emerged that his mother paid for him to return home from Syria before he took part in the attack.

The 23-year-old is understood to have travelled to Syria with his brother and a group of friends at the end of 2013, according to a source close to the investigation.

Most of the others were arrested in spring last year upon their return to France but Aggad stayed on in Syria, the source said.

Aggad's mother – identified only as Mrs Aggad – was today in custody after her flat was raided by police commandos overnight. She faces a range of terrorism charges.

Officers have been studying Aggad's remains since November 13.

Like others involved in the worst terrorist attack in French history, Aggad was known to the police, but was apparently given the freedom to travel where he liked.

He was part of a group of young men from a housing estate close to the Meinau football stadium in Strasbourg who were radicalised and then left for Syria in December 2013 to join IS.

Geneva police hunting 5 suspects related to Paris attacks, source says
By Ralph Ellis, Margot Haddad | CNN | December 10, 2015, 11:40AM EST

(CNN) - Geneva, Switzerland, was on high alert Thursday as police searched for suspects related to the terror attacks in Paris, a source close to the investigation told CNN.

Police were looking for five radicalized people suspected to be part of Mourad Fares' network, the source said.

Fares, a French national, is the man who recruited Foued Mohamed-Aggad, who was identified as the third attacker at the Bataclan theater in Paris, the source said.

According to French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve, Fares is a known recruiter for jihad in Syria. French intelligence sources say he's worked for ISIS, mainly in Francophone countries, and in Switzerland, including in Geneva.

He was arrested in August 2014 in Turkey and was placed in detention in France on September 11, 2014.

U.S. Intelligence services provided information to Switzerland regarding four individuals plotting attacks against Switzerland and cities in the United States, the source said.

Swiss authorities then raised the terror alert level as a precaution, according to the source. Authorities in Geneva don't know whether these individuals are currently on Swiss territory, the source said.

National authorities gave Geneva authorities a description of suspects who could be in Geneva or the Geneva region. Investigations are being carried out in close collaboration with international and French police.

"We have gone from a vague threat to a precise threat," Emmanuelle Lo Verso, head of communications at the Geneva Department of Security, told CNN. She would not comment on the nature of the threat.

The statement said that the "level of vigilance" in the city has been raised and that more police have been put on the streets.

Wife of Bataclan shooter 'proud' and 'happy'
Published: 28 Dec 2015 17:31 GMT+01:00

Investigators have uncovered shocking messages sent by the wife of one of the Paris shooters, in which she boasts of her "great life" in Iraq and says she is "proud" of her husband.

The wife of one of the Bataclan terrorists said she was “proud” and “happy” of his involvement in the November 13th bombings, emails published in French daily Le Parisien reveal.

Samy Amimour, aged 28, was one of the three shooters who killed 90 people at the Bataclan. Three days after the massacre, his wife, named as Kahina, emailed an old friend in France saying: “Did the attacks shock you? LOL," before boasting that her husband had been one of the assailants.

"I encouraged my husband to leave in order to terrorize the people of France who have so much blood on their hands [...] I’m so proud of my husband and to boast about his virtue, ah la la, I am so happy,” the emails uncovered by investigators said.

It is a shame that more Muslim family members are not as honest as Kahina, as Bill Whittle said, it is the moderate Muslim who is the aposate not the terrorist.

Operations have been ongoing since Tuesday. This story is still developing.

BREAKING NEWS - Police capture world's most wanted man: ISIS fugitive behind Paris attacks is shot in raid on Brussels hideout

  • Salah Abdeslam evaded police raid on Tuesday, says Belgian broadcasters
  • Men with AK-47s opened fire on officers as they prepared to storm house
  • During the raid one Islamist gunman was shot dead by a police sniper
  • Abdeslam now said to have been wounded in fresh police raid today

By Alex Matthews, Julian Robinson | Daily Mail | March 18, 2016

The world's most wanted man, a prime suspect in the Paris terrorist attacks, has been wounded in a police raid in Brussels.

Salah Abdeslam was shot in the leg by police commandos and has been captured alive in the district of Molenbeek in the Belgian capital.

Belgian prosecutors said earlier today that his fingerprints were found at the scene of a separate police raid on a Brussels flat, which took place on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old, whose brother blew himself up during the slaughter in Paris in November, was said to be one of the suspects who went on the run after a shoot-out.

But now reports have emerged that he has been wounded and captured in a fresh raid conducted by police this afternoon.

It is understood grenades were used in the operation. White smoke was seen in the area as police moved in on Abdeslam, who had been on the run for 126 days.

Paris attacks: Salah Abdeslam 'to sue French prosecutor'
By BBC.com | March 20, 2016

The Paris prosecutor told reporters that Abdeslam had admitted he wanted to blow himself up during the attacks on 13 November but then changed his mind.

The bombings and shootings, claimed by the so-called Islamic State (IS), left 130 people dead and dozens injured.

Abdeslam was arrested in Belgium last week after four months on the run.

The Belgian authorities have charged him with terrorism offences. He has decided to fight extradition to France, which could take up to three months.

Abdeslam's Belgian lawyer, Sven Mary, says his client is co-operating with the authorities.

At a news conference in the French capital on Saturday, Paris prosecutor Francois Molins, referring to Abdeslam's statement to Belgian police, said: "He wanted to blow himself up at the Stade de France and, I quote, backed out."

He added that people should treat with caution initial statements by the 26-year-old French national.

Mr Mary said he would take legal action against Mr Molins for breaching the confidentiality of the investigation.

He told Belgian public broadcaster RTBF that Mr Molins' comments at a news conference were "a violation... I cannot let it go unchallenged".

Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam questioned before French anti-terror judge
By 9News.com.au | May 21, 2016

Image

The last surviving member of the jihadist team allegedly responsible for last year’s Paris attacks, Salah Abdeslam, refused to answer questions in his first interview with a French anti-terror judge yesterday.

Authorities had hoped Abdeslam would shed some light on the operational details of the November 13 attacks that killed 130 people, as well as provide clues as to whether other members of the wider jihadist cell are still at large.

But his lawyer Frank Berton said "he did not want to say anything today".

The 26-year-old was prepared to speak at "a later date", the lawyer added, and "we need to give him time".

A source close to the investigation said Abdeslam's silence may have been the result of advice from Mehdi Nemmouche, the man suspected of a shooting at the Jewish museum in Brussels in 2014.

They were locked up in the same prison in the Belgian city of Bruges after Abdeslam was captured in March and were able to shout to each other from their respective cells, the source said, quoting Belgian prison guards.

Nemmouche reportedly told Abdeslam --who was being kept in isolation without a television - about the March 22 attacks in Brussels that left 32 dead and advised him to "keep quiet... because they'll send you to France to be tried".

Abdeslam, who had responded to questions during his first interrogation with Belgian police, has not cooperated since.

EXCLUSIVE: France ‘Suppressed Reports of Gruesome Torture’ at Bataclan Massacre
By Louise Mensch | 10:50 am, July 15, 2016

HEAT STREET EXCLUSIVE – A French government committee has heard testimony, suppressed by the French government at the time and not published online until this week, that the killers in the Bataclan appear to have tortured their victims on the second floor of the club.

The chief police witness in Parliament testified that on the night of the attacks, an investigating officer, tears streaming down his face, rushed out of the Bataclan and vomited in front of him just after seeing the disfigured bodies.

The 14-hour testimony about the November attacks took place March 21st.

According to this testimony, Wahhabist killers reportedly gouged out eyes, castrated victims, and shoved their testicles in their mouths. They may also have disemboweled some poor souls. Women were reportedly stabbed in the genitals – and the torture was, victims told police, filmed for Daesh or Islamic State propaganda. For that reason, medics did not release the bodies of torture victims to the families, investigators said.

Well, this was telling to read. :roll Of course there are conflicting reports, because someone is not telling the truth, or doesn't want the facts to be revealed. This is much too horrendous for me to even comprehend.

By Robert-Jan Bartunek | Reuters | June 2, 2017, 11:00AM ET

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Belgium has arrested a man in connection with the November 2015 attacks in Paris, prosecutors said, saying he had been charged with terrorist murders and being a leading member of a terrorist organization.

Prosecutors named the man as 31-year-old Yassine A., without giving any more details on how he was related to the attacks which killed 130 people and wounded many others.
