I think he will runnnnnnnnnnnnnn as fast as he can away from this once it is done. His client gave a very damaging interview right after a guilty plea asking for death....I wouldn't blame him if he shows up hung-over wearing sunglasses to court tomorrow, poor guy tried 3 times to be removed and no one else would picked it up. He was stuck. |

I almost feel sorry for him. Almost. He opened up his private practice with a BANG with this case. He's made a nice fortune. He has a nightmare client on his hands and like you say, I don't know how he will make it in tomorrow morning. You can tell, just by his body language that he can't stand Jodi. eta - come to think of it, I didnt see Nurmi AT ALL today and wish I could have seen a shot of his reaction to the verdict! |

"I think I just went blank... I just feel overwhelmed. I think I just need to take it a day at a time. It was unexpected for me... There was no premeditation on my part." "The worst outcome for me would be natural life... Longevity runs in my family, and I don't want to spend the rest of my natural life in one place. I said years ago I'd rather get death than life and that still is true today. I believe death is the ultimate freedom, so I'd rather just have my freedom as soon as I can get it." "I think the way everything happened, if I had just been honest from the beginning I would be in a different place and so would everyone else. And because of what I've done a lot of people will hurt for a long time." About the jury: "I prayed prior to trial that the right jurors would be on... so I just have to believe those were the right jurors." She did have a message for the family of Travis Alexander -- that she hopes this verdict brings them peace. But at no point did she say she was sorry. Troy: "So if you had to do this over again, here in the desert, you notice you have blood on your hands. How do you handle it?" Arias: "I would turn around and drive over to the Mesa Police Department." Troy: "And what do you think would've happened to you then?" Arias: "I don't know but it would've been the right thing. Because of what I've done a lot of people will hurt for a long time." "There's a lot of regret because I was really hoping to get a plea and avoid talking about a lot of things that came out about him... we could've been able to avoid the murkier aspects of his life that he kept hidden... now the curtain has been drawn and you can see the hypocrisy and everything that was there." Troy: "Say you get a long sentence, how are you going to spend your life?" Arias: [through tears] "I haven't decided yet." In 2008, Arias famously gave another jailhouse interview. In it, she said, "I didn't commit a murder. I didn't hurt Travis. I would never hurt Travis. No jury is going to convict me. I am innocent, and you can mark my words on that." After the interview with Troy Hayden, Jodi Arias was moved into the psych ward for 24-hour suicide watch. |

omg - listening to this interview INFURIATES me!!! She starts right off the bat when asked by the reporter if she made eye contact with Travis's family and she answered: she didn't look at Travis's family because they all look very much alike and when she sees their faces, she sees Travis, she sees the man who abused her and she didn't want to look at that! omg. |
