12:08 a.m. ET:

From HLN's producer in the courtroom:The Alexander family has many more friends and family here today. They have taken up two full rows and part of a third row of the gallery. Chris and Sky Hughes are sitting with them.

Wild About Trial WildAboutTrial 16s
Attorneys are back in the courtroom. It's a full house today folks! We await the judge and jury sans the Note Taker.

Here we go. FYI I have see court in session until midnight in Dade County Florida. The only court room in session in the court house with court officers working overtime regarding security. I have also seen a jury working very late and bringing in a verdict at that time. It just costs the taxpayers a lot of money to keep court in session that late.

I'm glad the Hughes are there. It was very interesting listening to both of them on Drew.

Hello MBTB, and whoa - that's truly amazing, but somehow, I can't see Jdge Sherry doing this (although much needed).

Should be interesting to see if Martinez will use his neuro-psychologist to rebut Dr. Geffner - or will Dr. Geffner, like LaVIolette before him, be a joke (and an insult to the jury's intelligence).

12:15 p.m. ET: From HLN's producer in the courtroom: The courtroom is packed to the gills, extra seating has been brought in, but to make room for everybody, the court staff is placing people behind counsel tables which unfortunately block the family members. These people--are generally people who have badge access, court staff, attorneys, etc.

Geffner is the president of the Institute on Violence, Abuse and Trauma.

Dr. Geffner is going over his experience with Willmott. He has been practicing as a psychologist for 33 years.

12:26 p.m. ET: Willmott is walking Geffner through his resume and why he qualifies as an expert. He is explaining how he required to take classes every year to maintain his license. He actually teaches some continuing education class for his fellow physchologists.

12:22 p.m. ET: Geffner said he has practiced as a physchologist for 33 years.

Money wasn't tight at that time so it is different now. We can always hope. The jury has to agree to work late. I think the jury is just hearing blah blah blah now.

What a WASTE of taxpayer money for the defense to have had LaViolette!! She was completely USELESS and a sad joke. This guy, at least, presents better. Let's see....

Willmott WASTING TIME with her, "judge may we approach" every time Martinez has an objection (that is usually sustained!).

:lol

Wild About Trial WildAboutTrial 1m
A "judge mweeproach" from Willmott is heard. Another sizzlebar ensues.

12:32 p.m. ET: Geffner also helps train other psychologists in different specialties. The attorneys are now at a sidebar with the judge.

12:29 p.m. ET: Geffner said he does not get any additional compensation other than his regular salary for testifying in criminal cases.

Been reading that Juan Martinez was granted a Sur-Sur-Rebuttal! Good!

Nice show of support for the jury to see - Deanna Reid and Chris and Skye Hugges are sitting with the Alexander family. :heart

Willmot trying to discredit Dr. DeMarte and now honing in on the "neuro" part!

12:40 p.m. ET: Geffner is still discussing all of his credentials psychology and neuropsychology.

12:36 p.m. ET: Willmott took a shot at prosecution expert DeMarte's work experience a few minutes ago. DeMarte testified during Martinez's rebuttal case that she counted her training before becoming licensed as experience practicing physiologist.

Willmott: “Can you count the time that you used to get your training and supervision to ultimately get your license – can you count that as practice time?”

Geffner: “Not officially. You cannot practice as a mental health professional until you have some type of license. And then you can only call yourself by that license.”

Notice how pissy Willmott gets with Martinez' FEW objections, yet pops up every second question in objection to Martinez!
