2:41 p.m. ET: The attorneys are at a sidebar with the judge.

2:40 p.m. ET: Geffner said it can be difficult to discern between PTSD and a personality disorder, and people can suffer from both at the same time.

2:37 p.m. ET: Geffner said Arias' TSI test results support a diagnosis for PTSD, but it does not indicate what the traumatic event. He also said Arias' TSI results do not support a personality disorder diagnosis

2:34 p.m. ET: The attorneys are at a sidebar with the judge.

2:31 p.m. ET: Geffner said Arias took the TSI two times about a year and half apart, but the results were similar with some of the scales showing some variance.

The TRAUMA was the event of butchering....even my cat can see that?

To then say 4 ALLEGED instances of physical abuse caused "trauma" is silly

Geffner: Tests results supporting TRAUMA disorder, not Personality Disorder.

Oh, does he mean the test results based on Jodi's ninja lies?

:roll

2:46 p.m. ET: So far all of Arias test results Geffner has discussed this morning do not support a personality disorder, but do support a PTSD disagnosis.

2:43 p.m. ET: Geffner said it is possible to diagnosis someone with both PTSD and personality disorder but the psychologist would have to see evidence of the personality disorder well before the trauma occured.

“If somebody had a long history of harming themselves, of unstable relationships, of dissociating, of suicide attempts or things like that, long before, going back into adolescence, then you might have a borderline personality disorder.
Now that doesn’t eliminate PTSD. But if your trauma comes from something, say, in adulthood, then that would be a reason to give both diagnoses. But if all your symptoms of borderline or anything else occurred at the time or after the traumatic reaction then it’s not appropriate to diagnose with that, you diagnose with PTSD or anxiety disorder or whatever is the major issue going on,” said Geffner.

Didn't Dr. DeMarte say Jodi told her and she read in her diaries about Jodi's LONG HISTORY, going back to her teens, of suicidal thoughts, harming herself, unstable relationships, etc. to support exactly what ( both Dr. DeMarte AND) Geffner is saying above??

Ugh.

2:51 p.m. ET: Willmott asked if it matters if Arias lied on the PDS test about who assaulted her. At the time Arias took the PDS test she said two intruders assaulted her and killed Alexander. Geffner said that would not matter in regards to the validity of the PDS test results. The attorneys are now at a sidebar with the judge.

2:48 p.m. ET: Willmott and Geffner are now discussing Arias PDS test results. Geffner said her PDS test results support a diagnosis of PTSD.

3:04 p.m. ET: Geffner said psychologists give I.Q. test to show they gave a full battery of tests, but it is not relevant to this case. The judge has recessed court until 4:15 p.m. ET. The live blog will pick back up when testimony resumes.

3:01 p.m. ET: Geffner said DeMarte also gave Arias an I.Q. test as well, and he also said the I.Q. test would not help with a psychological evaluation.

2:59 p.m. ET: Willmott is now asking Geffner about a test called the wide range achievement test that DeMarte gave to Arias.
