The length of time the stages thus far have taken would seem to indicate that by the time it gets through the appeals Jodi Arias will have most likely died of old age.

We didn't find out what the two questions were. I wonder how just giving the impasse modified instruction answered both questions? Unless the questions were just about stopping since they can't agree in some way.

Oh well I guess we wait some more.

I at least hope that if she doesn't get the death penalty that she gets life without chance of parole.

I'm hoping for the DP, but Life W/O Parole won't be pretty for Jodi. Lifers don't like attention whores and she would likely get shanked in gen pop before long.

Ok so if this is a hung jury then the judge gets to decide on sentencing? That is not how I remember AZ law, I thought a hung jury resulted in an automatic LWOP sentencing? I will be in and out all day but I am going to try to figure out the law on the sentencing phase, I know this part of the trial cannot be retried, so this is Jodi's last chance at a jury to decide her fate. Sounds like the juror's are split 7/5. Dumb weak asses on the LWOP side. They never should have signed a paper saying that they could sentence someone to death if that person is proven to be a monster if they could't do it.

JURY DEADLOCKED!

What I don't understand is why she couldn't be sentenced today, get it over with. I know all the legal mumbo jumbo involved, but after all this time, just do it. Everyone was there. We are sick of seeing Jodi.

I'm exhausted and I know the active members here must be too.

ETA: I just read where Jodi Arias waived the pre-sentencing report so she could have been sentenced today.

Sentencing is set for April 13, 2015.

I agree. Now more waiting and stretching it out for the family.

I really hope she doesn't get a chance at parole.

It is as I feared the DP is off the table and all the judge can decide is whether or not Jodi gets life without parole or life with the possibility of parole
