Casey Anthony to appear at defamation trial in January

ORLANDO, Fla. —
WFTV has learned Casey Anthony will likely appear at her defamation trial in January.
On Monday, Cheney Mason, one of the lawyers who defended Anthony against murder charges, said he's agreed to accept the subpoena for her to show up at the civil trial.
Last week, a judge ruled that Anthony had to release her address or have one of her attorneys accept the subpoena for her.

Mason will accept the subpoena to prevent Anthony’s address from being released.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez say Casey Anthony was served with a subpoena in the case Thursday morning.
Attorney Matt Morgan took to his personal Twitter account to announce that Anthony "has been served."
Last week, the attorneys were granted access to Anthony's whereabouts.
The address is sealed to the public and only known to the attorneys. Attorneys said that safety will not be compromised.

Gonzalez answers Casey Anthony's money questions in civil suit

Zenaida Gonzalez, the woman suing Casey Anthony for defamation, responded this week to several requests from Anthony's lawyers involving Gonzalez's finances and media appearances.

Anthony's legal team wanted any documents Gonzalez has showing payments for interviews, including a recent appearance on the Dr. Phil show. The lawyers also asked for Gonzalez's credit card and bank account statements, as well as her pay stubs and any job applications she's filled out since Nov. 22.

Lawyer Warns Casey Anthony To Show Up At Civil Trial, Or Face Jail Again!

The lawyer, representing the woman suing Casey Anthony for defamation, is warning the infamous “Tot Mom” that if she doesn't appear for her testimony during her civil trial, she could be held in criminal contempt, which could send her back to jail, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Zenaida Gonzalez is suing Casey for defamation after the Florida mom told cops that a woman with a similar name had kidnapped her missing daughter Caylee.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Anthony will be forced to answer key questions about Caylee's disappearance and death under oath during the civil trial which is scheduled to begin in January 2013 -- something she is vehemently opposed to.

Anthony was deposed briefly last year, and despite the court allowing her testimony to be videotaped so she did not have to appear in person, she wore a wacky disguise throughout the proceedings and refused to answer the majority of the questions.

Anthony's lawyers have said it isn't safe for their client to appear in public, leading some pundits to predict she won't attend the civil trial. However, Gonzalez's lawyer, John Dill has issued a stern warning to the Florida woman.

"Casey Anthony could potentially be held in criminal contempt if she fails to appear," Dill tells RadarOnline.com. "I wouldn't tempt this judge if I were her."

Cindy has been quoted as saying money went to Casey and Lee when the Caylee Trust was wound up.
(How sickening is THAT!!!)

But perhaps she put her foot in it again?

Money that ZFG may well have an interest in... but also.... if true, perhaps Casey omitted to inform her probation officer? She is supposed to declare income and there has been no mention of the "Windfall"

On the other hand.... Cindy may just be full of shit as usual? Who knows where the money went?

Attorneys suing Casey Anthony want to know if she has cashed in on her notoriety.

Specifically, they want answers about possible payments she received after being acquitted of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee last July.

Zenaida Gonzalez, who is suing Anthony for defamation, claims she was harassed and threatened after Anthony came up with a fictitious nanny named Zenaida Gonzalez-Fernandez, also known as "Zanny the Nanny" -- and accused her of kidnapping Caylee.
Attorneys for Gonzalez want to know if Anthony has received funds from her parents, the Dr. Phil show, ABC or the Caylee Marie Anthony Trust Fund. The attorneys told Central Florida News 13 that they have filed a series of questions with the court about these possible payments that they want answered in Anthony’s deposition.

"We're posing these questions to see if the information is credible," said attorney Matt Morgan.

Anthony’s civil attorney Charles Green said he doesn’t think his client should have to answer these questions, because they aren’t relevant to the case.

"There's only one party profiting from this case," Greene said, "and that's the attorneys for the plaintiff in getting the notoriety they crave."
