I really don't give a rat's hairy ass about cma, but I do want to see this movie, and here is why.
When i watched the trailer, Jeff A. said "When I saw those tiny bones, I had a physical hatred
for that women" something to that effect.
Now that gave me a chill, and I want to see the movie FOR Caylee!

Justice for Caylee! :23

It will probably take a while for me to get to see it... but I'll watch if I can.

At least it's based on Ashton's book and so not promoting someone like Baez trying to profit off the case

RE-RUN tonight, Sunday. There will be a RE-RUN of the program on Lifetime. Last night they followed it with a documentary type film. Pretty good.

Such a complicated case ... mainly because of the LIES LIES LIES?

Casting did a pretty good job on some of them ... I was very interested in that since I was in one film.
A great collection of wonderful talented people, ALL OF THEM INVOLVED with a film. Amazing. The room would VIBRATE with artistic energy, just like the streets of NY seem to vibrate and pulse merely from the ENERGY of the people!!

Did they give "George" the black eyebrows? For some reason, he was the most distracting to me. I almost got into all the rest of them - not him. Not sure why.

I thought "Casey" was good!

Ashton has a Spanish wife??

Tonight in about 90 minutes, Lifetime is having a RE-RUN of their film.

Might look at it again. Always having interruptions here and miss things.

Last night had a good Documentary immediately following it. Not sure if they will tonight. Might ...

I liked the documentary. I need to see the movie again. I missed some of it.

It was very strange to see actors portraying people that we feel we know. I thought the actress who played Casey was the most believable. I had trouble with some of the others. They either didn't look enough like the real person or didn't portray their personalities accurately enough or a combination of the two. (If I hadn't been so familiar with the case, then I think I would have found it very well acted though. They are all very talented actors. I love, love Elizabeth Mitchell ... who played Juliet in "Lost" and plays Linda Drane Burdick in this movie, but I don't think she's "tough" enough to play Linda.)

I'll probably feel differently next time I watch it.

(I didn't know anything about Ashton's wife either! Here's a photo of her: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/florida/ashton1.jpg-20130117,0,2829610.photo)

‘Prosecuting Casey Anthony’: A few points to remember
posted by halboedeker on January, 19 2013 3:44 PM

A few points to keep in mind:

    1. It’s a docudrama, not an editorial. The filmmakers are telling a story, not making a commentary about the case’s outcome. They tell the story in a straightforward, fast-moving style. They go a low-key route, which is smart, because people feel so passionate about the case.

    2. The movie fills a two-hour time slot, but the actual running time is 90 minutes. So a lot of material, from 2008 to 2012, has been crammed into those 90 minutes. You may quibble with what was left out. I was surprised that Dr. Jan Garavaglia’s testimony isn’t depicted. Yet the film is a clear retelling of the case.

    3. The movie does not glorify Casey Anthony or her family. Casey is a minor figure, because the focus is on the trial. Though the film is based on Jeff Ashton’s book, the film strives for balance in depicting the defense. See if you think the movie achieves it.

    4. Ashton has joked that he got an upgrade with the casting of Rob Lowe. “Prosecuting Casey Anthony” has enlisted some attractive performers to play people from the trial. You may find that distracting, but the film isn’t a documentary, either.

All that's true and I think the film makers did a good job, but it was still distracting watching some of the performers. (I thought the actor who played George also wasn't "tough" enough.)

Lifetime’s ‘Prosecuting Casey Anthony’ Draws 3.3 Million Viewers
By THE DEADLINE TEAM | Wednesday January 23, 2013 @ 10:40am PST

The Saturday premiere of the Lifetime original movie Prosecuting Casey Anthony starring Rob Lowe couldn’t quite top the numbers of the network’s Liz & Dick back in November. But the pic, billed as the first movie to chronicle the lightning-rod murder trial, did rank as the No. 1 telecast across ad-supported cable among total viewers and the key demos, according to Nielsen. It drew 3.3 million total viewers (compared with Liz & Dick‘s 3.5 million), 1.3 million adults 18-49 and 1.1 million women 25-54. It grew in viewers throughout, jumping 20% from the first half hour to the final 30 minutes among women 25-54. The hourlong documentary Beyond The Headlines: Prosecuting Casey Anthony followed and averaged 2.4 million total viewers, 1.1 million adults 18-49 and 854,000 women 25-54.

Do you think Virginia Welch thought cma was guilty or innocent?

Does anyone have a link to the lifetime movie, is it out there? I have yet to see it.
I only cared about seeing it because of jeff's comment about when he saw the tiny
bones of Caylee he knew he hated cma with a passion.
