It seems ridiculously premature to be Rebuilding anything in Baltimore.

It is a safe bet that a lot more rioting and looting and arson are to come as the farcical "Baltimore 6" trials proceed... and DO NOT give the protards what they demand :cool

Activist found guilty of failing to obey order while protesting mistrial in Freddie Gray case
By Kevin Rector | The Baltimore Sun | March 8, 2016, 6:33PM

A well-known Baltimore activist was found guilty Tuesday of failing to obey an order from law enforcement while protesting the December mistrial of a Baltimore police officer charged in the arrest and death of Freddie Gray — a conviction his attorneys promised to fight through appeal.

Kwame Rose, 21 — who was referred to interchangeably in court by that name and his legal name, Darius Rosebrough —was also found not guilty of three other charges stemming from the same incident: obstructing vehicle traffic in front of the courthouse, obstructing pedestrian traffic on the sidewalk and disturbing the peace by using a bull horn.

Rose was arrested outside the downtown Circuit Court building on Dec. 16, after a 12-member jury failed to reach a consensus on the four counts, including manslaughter, filed against Baltimore Police Officer William Porter in Gray's death.

District Judge Jack Lesser, who presided over the bench trial, imposed on Rose a $500 fine plus court fees. In doing so, he rejected a request by prosecutor Paul W. O'Connor, chief of the Baltimore State's Attorney's District Court division, that Rose be placed on probation for a year.

BALTIMORE (AP) — Six men arrested during the unrest prompted by Freddie Gray’s death in police custody sued the Baltimore Police Department, the state and more than a dozen officers Tuesday, alleging that they were beaten, abused and deprived of their constitutionally protected right to protest.

The lawsuit was filed Tuesday against the department, the state of Maryland and 22 police officers, as well as former police chief Anthony Batts, who was fired last July and heavily criticized for his response to the unrest.

I have always been an advocate for JUSTICE... generally err on the side of INNOCENT (until proven guilty), but I also have to admit to an anti protard bias after all the crap from dopes sice #Ferguson.

It would take a LOT to convince me that the Cops are the guilty party here :cool

Sheriff David Clarke: Officers Accused in Freddie Gray Case Are ‘Political Prisoners’
Apr. 25, 2016 7:15pm Josiah Ryan

Outspoken African-American sheriff of Milwaukee County, David A. Clarke Jr., brought his controversial message to New York City last week saying he believes the six Baltimore police officers being prosecuted for the death of Freddie Gray are “political prisoners.”

“In my estimation the six officer who were charged in the Freddie Gray incident in Baltimore, Maryland, they were political prisoners,” he said.

“There was no basis whatsoever under the rule of law to charge those officers — none,” added Clarke.

In particular, Clarke, who was speaking at dinner hosted by Hillsdale College, said he took issue with the words of Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, who announced charges against the officers saying she had heard the city’s “call for ‘no justice, no peace.’”

“She was going to to try to make it right for the cop-haters,” he said. “[T]hat’s not how I want lady justice talking.”

Earlier in the speech Clarke also argued that Darren Wilson, the Ferguson officer known for shooting and killing Michael Brown, “defended his life under the rule of law.” Clarke also suggested that the riots that followed that shooting in Ferguson, were orchestrated by activists looking to create chaos.

Two officers in Freddie Gray case sue Marilyn Mosby for defamation
Justin Fenton and Kevin Rector, The Baltimore Sun

Two officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray are suing Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby for defamation and invasion of privacy.

Sgt. Alicia White and Officer William Porter, who are facing charges of involuntary manslaughter in the 25-year-old's death last April, filed the lawsuit against Mosby, Baltimore sheriff's office Maj. Sam Cogen and the state of Maryland on May 2, according to Baltimore Circuit Court records made public Wednesday.

The officers claim that Mosby and Cogen knew the statement of charges filed against the officers and other statements made by Mosby at a May 1, 2015, news conference announcing the charges "were false."

"These among other statements were made not for the purpose of prosecuting crimes that had allegedly been committed by White and Porter, but rather for purposes of quelling the riots in Baltimore," the suit alleges.

The officers had asked that the lawsuit be sealed to "avoid any suggestion" that they were "not complying with the spirit of" a gag order issued in their criminal cases by Circuit Judge Barry G. Williams, and to "avoid any additional pretrial publicity in connection with their upcoming criminal trials." They said they had to file the lawsuit at this time because of statute of limitations concerns.

Judge Althea Handy on Wednesday denied the motion to seal the case, saying the officers had "failed to provide a special and compelling reason to preclude or limit inspection of the case record sufficient to overcome the presumption of openness" under Maryland law.

The lawsuit lists the officers' attorney as Michael E. Glass, who could not be reached for comment.
