Must show this & orig to hubby! Our food truck festival excitement was the coloring tent teaching little boys how to draw rainbows and girls to draw unicorns :Gslap made a bit of stink with complaints because they steered kids away from stuff their parents suggested.

Antonio Whiteside, Jr.

Rumpole, you know I've been trying, for some time, to hunt this guy down :D
This is from an October 3 article and it confirms the guy is no where to be found.
I'm NOT going crazy after all.

It took until February of this year before Antonio Whiteside was indicted for one of the arson attacks. At that time, John Ham of the ATF in Kansas City said that they were still aggressively pursuing leads and that, “we’re not going away.” But months later there wasn’t much more movement. Whiteside pleaded guilty in April on what looked like fairly serious charges and then the story basically dropped out of the news. Other arrests were sparse considering the amount of property damage, the number of attacks on police vehicles and the rampant looting. There was video all over the web depicting much of the mayhem with the rioters’ faces clearly visible and yet the police seem to have been stymied in their efforts to bring cases to trial.

Sentencing was scheduled for July 23, 2015. I think he hit the road, Jack.
And from a previous article posted in April:

Holmes told the court that Whiteside was not a danger to the community and should be allowed to stay out of jail on bail until his sentencing, set for July 23. U.S. District Judge John Ross allowed it.

FBI director concedes he has little evidence to support 'Ferguson effect'

By Ciara McCarthy and Sabrina Siddiqui | TheGuardian.com | October 26, 2015 3:48PM

FBI director James Comey conceded on Monday that he had little evidence to support his theory that a recent increase in crime was caused by heightened scrutiny of the police, as the White House appeared to distance itself from his remarks.

Addressing police chiefs at a conference in Chicago, Comey said he could not be certain that the so-called “Ferguson effect”, following unrest in the Missouri city after the fatal police shooting of an unarmed black 18-year-old last year, had led to a retreat by officers, but said this was “common sense”.

“The question is, are these kinds of things changing police behavior around the country?” said Comey. “The honest answer is I don’t know for sure whether that’s the case … but I do have a strong sense.”
[...]
The FBI director did, however, offer cautious praise for elements of the Black Lives Matter movement for the first time, suggesting their work could allow police officers to understand the viewpoints of people in situations different to their own.

During his speech, Comey discussed both Black Lives Matter and a hashtag that has emerged in response, #PoliceLivesMatter, which is used on social media by supporters of law enforcement, many of whom criticize Black Lives Matter activists for allegedly being anti-police.

Public officials have butted heads over what the movement stands for in the past week, after Obama praised the movement on Thursday for raising legitimate concerns about policing practices in the US. New Jersey governor Chris Christie criticized the president for not supporting police, and claimed that Black Lives Matter activists were “calling for the murdering of police officers”.
[...]
Lynch will speak at the conference on Tuesday on a panel discussion about police-community relations. Obama is also scheduled to address law enforcement leaders as part of his ongoing campaign to reform aspects of the criminal justice system.

Man shoots self in altercation with Ferguson-area police
By Melanie Eversley | USA TODAY | October 28, 2015, 8:18PM

An 18-year-old man shot himself in the face Wednesday afternoon during an altercation with police near Ferguson, Mo., according to reports.
[...]
The young man in Wednesday's incident is alive, a spokeswoman for the Normandy, Mo., Police Department said.

The events unfolded shortly after 2 p.m. local time, according to St. Louis County police.

Members of the man's family were seeking help from police and medical responders, according to the police agency. Officers from Normandy, Mo., drove to the scene and tried to talk with the man, but he was uncooperative, according to police.

As the officers got out of their patrol car, "the male retrieved a handgun from his waistband, firing at the officers," Cpl. Tameika Sanders, public information officer for the Normandy, Mo., Police Department, said during a Wednesday evening press conference.

One of the Normandy officers attempted to use a taser on the man to subdue him, but it "was ineffective,"Sanders said.

"Officers returned fire, however, it appears at this time the male was not struck by law enforcement gunfire," she said.

The man ran away from the officers through back yards and they lost sight of him as they heard a gun shot, according to police. When officers found the man, he was lying on the ground, unresponsive, police said.

Man dies of self-inflicted wound after shootout with police in Normandy, officials say
By Joel Currier | St. Louis Post-Dispatch | October 29, 2015, 8:00AM

NORMANDY • Police say the man who shot himself in the face after exchanging gunfire with officers in Normandy has died.

Police identified him as Amonderez P. Green, 18, of the first block of Lynn Meadows Lane in Florissant.

The shootout with police happened on Wednesday afternoon. Authorities say he died at about 4:30 a.m. Thursday at a St. Louis hospital.

Relatives and people who said they witnessed the incident were quoted on social media challenging the police version of events. Some insisted he was shot by officers.

The scene is near the Normandy-Ferguson city line, and the incident began when Ferguson police called Normandy for assistance with a "suicidal subject" in the 5800 block of Bermuda Drive about 2 p.m., Normandy Police Chief Frank Mininni said.

Rumpole, :D

I've read so much about this, my head is spinning. HuffPost is really trying to "spin it" not indicating how he was shot and mostly covering Green's rap music uploads and interviewing friends. :roll

Relatives described Green in a statement as a "sweet, hardworking" man who "loved his life," which they say makes it hard for them to believe the police account.

Sloan said "the tension in Ferguson and St. Louis and just nationwide right now" is fueling the family's distrust of police.

"We need proof," she said. "There's an autopsy pending. We're prepared to seek a second autopsy. We're looking into legal perspectives, seeking an attorney."

Police charge David Lopez Jackson with two St. Louis church arsons
By Sandra Jordan | The St. Louis American | October 30, 2015, 4:24PM

Image

David Lopez Jackson is in jail, facing two counts of second-degree arson in the church fires at Ebenezer and New Life MB Church (recently renamed United Believers in Christ Ministries).

He is held on a $75,000 cash only bond. Jackson was taken into custody Thursday night. Investigators say Jackson is from the St. Louis City/Jennings area.

St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson said Jackson is the only suspect in all of the arsons; however, their investigation is ongoing.

Lab analyses confirmed gasoline was used as an accelerant in the two arsons Jackson is accused of setting.

“Forensic evidence discovered links the defendant to the scene of the fire at Ebenezer Lutheran Church,” Dotson told reporters. “Surveillance footage shows the defendant’s car at the scene of the fire at New Life Missionary Baptist Church. The defendant has confirmed that the car belongs to him and that he has exclusive use of it.”

Dotson added a canister with gasoline and a thermos container that smelled like gasoline were found inside Jackson’s car.

By Joel Currier | St. Louis Post-Dispatch | October 31, 2015 10:00PM

FERGUSON • Police are investigating another homicide in the 1300 block of Sharondale Circle in Ferguson.

A man, 36, was shot about 2:10 a.m. Saturday in the Park Ridge apartment complex, police said. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police had few details but said a witness saw a man in black clothing shoot the man. Police were withholding the man's identity Saturday.
[...]
The killing brings the homicide total in St. Louis County to at least 53 this year. Last year's total was 37.

Ferguson protester pleads guilty to setting fire at Berkeley QuikTrip
By Joel Currier | St. Louis Post-Dispatch | November 3, 2015

ST. LOUIS COUNTY • One of the more visible protesters during the Ferguson unrest last year has pleaded guilty to starting a fire at a QuikTrip in Berkeley in December.

Joshua Williams, 19, of north St. Louis County, pleaded guilty to arson, burglary and stealing Monday in St. Louis County Circuit Court.

Police say Williams started a fire at a QuikTrip in Berkeley during protests after the death of Antonio Martin, 18, who was fatally shot Dec. 23 by a Berkeley police officer at a Mobil gas station across the street from the QuikTrip in the 6800 North Hanley Road.

The Post-Dispatch, Bloomberg, USA Today and the Associated Press quoted and photographed Williams during Ferguson protests last year. In October, he was photographed walking arm in arm with author and activist Cornel West toward the St. Louis University campus, where protesters staged a sit-in.

Williams also confronted St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson during a Ferguson Commission meeting last year, shouting at Dotson as the police chief tried to answer questions. He was also arrested at least twice during Ferguson-related protests for unlawful assembly and refusal to disperse.

Sentencing for Williams is set for Dec. 10 in St. Louis County Circuit Judge John D. Warner Jr.’s courtroom.

'Historic' Open-Carry March Planned for Ferguson
BY Victoria Bekiempis | Newsweek | November 4, 2015

A "historic" open-carry march, in which participants carry and display firearms, is scheduled to take place in Ferguson, Missouri, on November 16, organizer Sam Andrews tells Newsweek.

Andrews, a former member of the Oath Keepers, a pro–Second Amendment group that made national headlines when heavily armed members of its St. Louis–area chapter arrived at the Ferguson protests this past August, has started circulating a flier for the march, he says.
[...]
"The point of the march is twofold: First, it's to show that Americans of all races have equal rights," he says of the planned march. "The second point of the march is to prove that the police cannot convert the exercising of a God-given right into crimes."

#MillionMaskMarch scheduled for 11am at #STL City Hall.

Image

Heather says this is before the protest, I'm thinking photo was taken during the protest this morning. :D

I didn't watch her stream of the protest, after reading the flack she is getting for it being "only of 5 security guards and a waste of time."

So I looked into this #millionmaskmarch thing ....

Pathetic. FergusonPD continues to allow the idiots to block traffic in front of the station.

At the 16:10 mark of the following link, a man gets out of his car and seems to punch the protester who wouldn't move out of the way. :lol

Oh, and there was a fire at a shopping plaza shortly after. :roll

Yeah, if the driver had been white, the outcome would have been different, no doubt. But Rumpole, most of the (few) people out there, in the photos Heather took, were white. I forgot to mention above that it was over when it started raining.
I suppose they don't know about the infamous Umbrella March in Oakland. :lol

THIS. :roll
