Somebody should tell her about the box Reeva left on the table with the card.

What an impudent neanderthal.

Australia just give it up, you're making a laughing stock of yourselves. Stick to publishing stuff about Kangaroos--something you should at least know a little about.

Having tweeted "Sunday Night" a few times to inform them of their Repeat offense in regard blocked videos they promote as "world wide" I have stopped following them on twitter. This dopey "world wide" stuff is wearing very thin since all their vids are VERBOTEN! outside Oz. The world is NOT short of misinformed and misinforming "Tabloid" type TV shows. And you can actually view most of them if you are so inclined.

To put it in terms that Australians should understand.

"Sunday Night" can go get fucked! (Mate) And stick their show and their spin-off articles up their arse!!

No it's not over.... in SA trials never end it seems. :doh

Closing arguments are a bigger deal than in USA... both sides (it seems) present an extensive case in writing to Court(Judge) and then present it in court. They have been given a month to write and present.. so next court day is 9:30 AM Thursday (8-7-14).

And.... it get worse.. the Judge may then "deliberate" for a month or more before announcing a verdict :wall

:hug Thx! The way I understood on news one night, the Judge is who decides, no jury correct? So what is the consensus of how its gone so far ? I mean did they present the case well enough for conviction?

I am tempted to say... read the threads here :wall

Judge decides ALL cases in SA... no Jury system.

This Judge has two "assessors" as assistants who sit on the Bench with her for entire trial.. so its decided by all 3 ultimately.

Just as well Jurors are thick (mostly) and in this case there has been a lot of crap allowed in court which should NOT be heard by jurors. We assume that a Judge can see what is irrelevant (and would be inadmissible in USA)

Oh wow! Look what I just discovered...and I just realized what it means.

Look at these two pictures.

Image Image ...... Do you notice anything?

Look at where Oscar has his left hand. And look at the near blood free area on that same exact spot on the toilet rim.

Is the prosecution going to tell me it's just coincidental that there happens to be an open area right were Oscar shows Reeva had her left hand? If the blood on the middle of the rim and on the left side was caused by arterial spurting from the head--or however it got there, it just happens to then conveniently miss the very area where Oscar shows Reeva's hand? When pigs fly.

And au contraire, Mangena doesn't even suggest Reeva's hand was on the toilet seat. He said from her sitting position on the magazine rack she slumped over to her right after the head shot and her upper body was "between the toilet and the magazine rack." Too late to try to doctor your story now Mangena. Or should I say tailor your version.

This means without a doubt that Oscar's testimony and demonstration of how he found her is THE TRUTH!! :52

Double tap that Nel !!

And I ain't done with you yet Mangena. I am going to rip you a new one!

Here's how this putz says Reeva had her hands when she got the head shot. :84

I've already put a harpoon through this ridiculous theory on one of my other recent posts.

But even I didn't fully comprehend the downright bullshiterry that he was trying to hose Judge Masipa with. Not until tonight as I was re-listening to his fairy tale. And it doesn't have as much to do with the head as it does the ARM.

Get this....he says her hands were crossed as they are in the picture when she was hit with the arm shot.

WHAT ???? Look where the outside of her arm is.

How in the hell does the bullet make an arc to the LEFT and then back to the right to penetrate her outside arm? That is ABSOLUTELY what it would have to do in order for it to do what he described.

Oscar was firing the shots at an angle. The trajectory had the bullet traveling to the left toward the corner of the toilet.

If Reeva was sitting on the magazine rack, her outer arm would be facing the WINDOW SIDE WALL. There is no way that a bullet could penetrate her outer arm, go through her arm, exit on the INSIDE--leaving a big exit hole, go through her tank top and then cause a bruise on her chest. The bullet would have to make a circle to the left and then curve back to hit her dead-on in the outside of the arm.

It would have to be like a heat seeking missile bullet. :Gslap There is no bullet made that can do that.

To pile lunacy on top of lunacy, he says the bullet carried wood splinters all the way from the door to where she was sitting when the bullet penetrated her arm and that's how it left the small wood splinters. :lol

I want you to listen to this the second time now that you know what I have pointed out. Listen carefully and you will see that this is absolute COMEDY GOLD.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A31z0aNCNHs ......... Start at 7:50 ...go to 12:26 ........Grab your drink and just prepare to start laughing.

Hey Mangena, this is for you :Q41 My pleasure.

Any idea of answers to these ?

1. Who goes first in the oral closing argument on August 7th?

2. Does the lettuce robe-tugging jackwad have the last word?

3. Does Roux get to read what the the prosecution will give to Masipa on July 30th before they have to submit their written summary on August 4th?

I'm not familiar with any court that has procedures like this.

Good questions, aavi.. I have wondered (and asked) them all.

No answers - so best guesses

The fact that there are two dates with a gap suggests to me that Roux gets to read Nil's submission.

Also suggests to me that Nil goes first presenting in court *Which is norm in other places.

A rebuttal (if required) by State giving them two goes and last say is also the norm, but.... it does not look like they do that? Unless... they have yet another delay after defense close for Nil to make something up? Seems unlikely.

I have posted a pictorial timeline of the case in the Reference thread

PISTORIUS REFERENCE - Witness Testimony (NO DISCUSSION)
viewtopic.php?f=105&t=1211&p=79698#p79698

It looks like a HUGE effort has gone into it... but I have not had time to check details contained.

I am busy with other cases at the moment, so would appreciate anybody who has time to check the details.

Closing arguments filed by Pistorius’s legal team

JOHANNESBURG – Oscar Pistorius's legal team has filed its final arguments in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria and says it is ready for the matter to be heard in court later this week.
[...]
Defence Advocate Barry Roux is likely to focus his arguments on two aspects, the physical and psychological vulnerabilities of his client and the timeline of events that morning.

I am not sure if presenting a coherent, well reasoned argument is Nel's forte?

He performs at full Nel potential when he has a witness to bully, badger and abuse.

Certainly there may well be LESS of his silly mannerisms and catch phrases, but just for fun, lets make it a drinking game. :D

DRINK whenever Nel uses one of his silly catch phrases (eg "lettuce" "veeershun" "we'll get to that" etc)
Also....
Shoulder hunching with cloak pull?
Foot on chair?

DRINK
:63
