England may opt for youth in first TestEngland's team for the first Test against the All Blacks on June 7 could contain several young players as a result of some key players being unavailable due to their involvement in the Premiership final.
That final is played the weekend before the first Test and therugbyblog.com has reported England's assistant coaches Graham Rowntree and Mike Catt as saying they may even look to England's Under-20 squad, which will be in New Zealand for the Youth World Cup, for players.
Rowntree said: "We're looking at a big pool of players, right down to the Under-20s. We're looking to the future and planning for after the World Cup. What will be will be – they're not great cards that we've been dealt, but we'll get on with it."
He added that if the team management feel players are good enough they will be given a chance, regardless of their age.
