England may opt for youth in first Test

England's team for the first Test against the All Blacks on June 7 could contain several young players as a result of some key players being unavailable due to their involvement in the Premiership final.
That final is played the weekend before the first Test and therugbyblog.com has reported England's assistant coaches Graham Rowntree and Mike Catt as saying they may even look to England's Under-20 squad, which will be in New Zealand for the Youth World Cup, for players.

Rowntree said: "We're looking at a big pool of players, right down to the Under-20s. We're looking to the future and planning for after the World Cup. What will be will be – they're not great cards that we've been dealt, but we'll get on with it."

He added that if the team management feel players are good enough they will be given a chance, regardless of their age.

Plenty to play for in rankings, even if All Blacks cannot be dislodged
07 Jun 2014

Rugby World Cup 2015 hosts England will move up to third in the IRB World Rankings if they pull off a shock victory over New Zealand at Eden Park on Saturday.
Stuart Lancaster’s side would jump two full points from 85.68 to 87.68 if they defy the odds and beat the All Blacks in their own backyard for the first time in 11 years.

Regardless of results from the opening weekend of June Internationals, New Zealand cannot be shifted from top spot, while South Africa, who play Wales a week on Saturday, are safe in second.

An England victory would relegate Australia from third to fourth even if the Wallabies manage to beat France. Should Les Bleus prevail they could potentially jump from seventh to fifth at the expense of Ireland and Wales.

NZ WON! 20 - 15

It was a stop start game.. lots of kicking... score advantage back and forth.. via 3 point penalty kicks.

With score tied at 15 all... NZ finally scored the game's only try with 2 minutes to go.
