Commentators talking about NOT using Latham at next fall of wicket.

Get Nichols in next.. or even de Grandhomme... both jumping over Latham in the batting order.

I don't disagree... but I think this should hammer home the point that Latham is crap.. and should not be in the team. There are certainly better wicket keepers than Latham... and he is in the team for his "batting"... which is not up to much lately :cool

ETA
Having said all that.. there is NO POINT in the current batsmen occupying the crease at their poor SR... they should both "piss or get off the pot" Bash and hit a few boundaries... if they go out in the attempt.. so be it!

Them going out... and letting a better batsman have a turn... is better than using up deliveries, and not scoring.

RAIN!!
Start may be delayed :doh

Williamson has side strain.. not playing.

New Zealand's XI: Guptill, Munro, Phillips, Bruce, Taylor, Kitchen, De Grandhomme, Santner, Southee, Sodhi, Rance

Ish Sodhi is ranked #1 bowler in world T20. It's about time he was picked for NZ ODI team
Phillips is a better batsman AND wicketkeeper than Latham... time he replaced Latham in ODI team

ETA
Seems they will start despite some drizzle :roll

Predict final score 2x12 over score
Trying out the "Rumpole formula" (made up today)

Pakistan 47/6 * (12/20 ov) RR 3.91 ====> Final score `94

I READ today that 165 is a "good" T20I score.... maybe a "par score" these days (RR 8.25) :cool

Pakistan 105 (19.4/20 ov) RR 5.33

Target for New Zealand 106
Req RR 5.3

HOPELESS performance by Pakistan :roll

To make this entertaining, NZ should try and win within 10 overs (IMHO) :cool

The Jerk-off commentators are "blaming the wicket" saying it's not up to "International standard" :roll

Scotty Styris has always been a wanker.. and he is in cahoots with Rigor Richardson (a world standard wanker)

It's ONLY a friggin T20 game ... any old wicket will do.

The finer points of pitch management are not relevant :roll

The batsmen are supposed to just BASH the ball into the crowd

Lets hope Munro SHOWS THEM how to play swing and Bash cricket :cool

I wondered if you heard him say it wasn't up to "International standard". The first thing I thought was "how the fuck do YOU know?". The head groundsman is professional, not his first rodeo. I hope he says something to them.

It seems to me that IF it wasn't up to par, one of the captains would have pointed it out after inspection. Kinda like Smith did in India that time.

:)
