The old 3x25 over score trick....

New Zealand 106/2 * (25/50 ov) RR 4.10 ====> Final score 318

That would be great.. if true... NZ COULD do it if they buck up their ideas now

Yeah.

I THINK that 300+ is more likely.

Taylor is doing Ok...... ish..... and Williamson has woken up.... he has a way to go to make up his own deficit... about 5 boundaries would be good.

Beware Rain.. and DL... A Target set for Pakistan

ETA
Not so fast...... Wicket... I think 250+ is more like it
KS Williamson c Mohammad Hafeez b Rumman Raees 73 (101b 7x4 0x6) SR: 72.27

The SR is the problem.... because it's NOT good enough for the team score, and Williamson occupied the crease for more than half the game... he was there for 30 overs.

Wicket
LRPL Taylor lbw b Shadab Khan 52 (64b 4x4 0x6) SR: 81.25

Another wicket...
HM Nicholls c & b Shadab Khan 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Shadab Khan "on a hat trick"........

No 3rd wicket... so not a hat trick

New Zealand 212/5 * (43/50 ov) RR 4.93

Just for fun.... I had a look at a DL Target calculator.

IF worse case scenario... Pakistan innings only reaches 20 overs....

They need 99 runs and max of 3 wickets down.... Just sayin' :cool

(They only need 64 if they don't lose any wickets)

I'd be happy to see Pakistan win... if they bat well from the outset.

If they bat like NZ and drag the game out... I hope they lose.

Hamilton Weather Forecast

Light rain showers

https://www.worldweatheronline.com/hami ... er/nz.aspx

FWIW...Auckland weather as a rough indicator:
Light showers all morning and so ground generally is WET.
IF weather same in Hamilton, even if they are between showers at start time, I would guess delay in starting due to wet outfield, and it could well get worse over the next 2 hours. :doh

Be prepared to talk among yourselves during delays....

smoke if you've got 'em.
:smoke

---------
ETA
The BS pregame show..... weather looks good :91
But.... it would pay to get on with the game... in case rain comes later.

Right here we go....

As always... IMO ...batsmen need to get on with scoring.. the old "catch up later" thing is BS

300+ is a par score these days.

Batsmen need a SR of 100 (on average)... individuals need to stay within a boundary (or 2) of achieving that.

This game might get entertaining is if NZ go all out to make a Target in say 40 overs
And.... we may well get rain.... :doh
