I plan to watch this live when it starts, with an eye on AusvEng ... unless that match is a must see, which it probably will be, and if this NZ starts with Paki batting ...

:)

Both teams are expected to make a bunch of changes. Pakistan, however, have a forced one: A twisted ankle has ruled Hasan Ali out. For New Zealand, Ross Taylor and Tom Blundell have been called up while Colin Munro (hamstring niggle) and Glenn Phillips (domestic duty) are out of contention today. Tim Southee is expected to return as well.

Pakistan win the toss and will bat

Pakistan XI:
Fakhar Zaman, Ahmed Shehzad, Babar Azam, Sarfraz Ahmed, Haris Sohail, Umer Amin, Shadab Khan, Aamir Yamin, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Amir, Rumman Raees

New Zealand XI:
Martin Guptill, Kane Williamson, Anaru Kitchen, Tom Bruce, Ross Taylor, Colin de Grandhomme, Tom Blundell, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Ish Sodhi, Trent Boult

:OT (a bit)

I thought of another point to add to mansplaining about it not being such a big deal when a player with low SR gets out. :)

Short of all 10 wickets down, and team all out and no longer able to score any more runs....WICKETS down is not taken into account in the assessment of the teams performance.

eg
In a T20 200/9 is Just as good as 200/0 :cool

(up to 9) Wickets are expendable :roll

Faheem Ashraf to Guptill, SIX runs, full on off stump, and it's a biggie! Goes out of the stadium! We need to measure that maximum! Hit straight down the ground and over the bowler's head. Off the middle of the bat, and soars away into the night sky! Hits the top deck of the broadcaster's camera scaffold. We need a new ball! 108m

Shadab Khan to Guptill, FOUR runs, full outside off, tries to drive extravagantly but the legspin induces the outside edge. Thick edge, but goes along the ground and finds the gap between short third man and backward point. That's 2000 runs for Guptill in T20Is

Shadab Khan to Guptill, 2 runs, back of a length outside off, carved behind point and there's work for the fielder in the deep. Diving effort from the man and he kicks it away with his left foot before his body hits the ropes. There's his fifty.
