To summarize.... The teams scores even (near as dammit) after both 1st innings complete. We start again with a second innings each. Who ever scores most runs and bowls the other side out (10 wickets) wins... and we have 2 days and 2 sessions left (more than half the 5 day period)...simple :cool

The 1st innings not totally "wasted". The net effect is that the pitch is worn, and will wear more. That has some effect.. especially in India. Also the players are to some extent "tired".. especially the bowlers and so fitness/stamina etc could be a factor.

This looks like a good test match.. close to half way.. either side could win. There WILL be a result (rain not likely)

ETA
The only "fly in the ointment" is if one side (one player) does a "Richardson" and wastes so much time that we run out of time in the game. NOT LIKELY since batsmen like Richardson are thankfully rare.. and both sides have a bowling attack that will get a boring fart of a batsman out! (and there is more than 2 and a half days.. which is a lot) And... this is NOT a "docile pitch".. hard (not impossible) for batsmen to survive for too long.

I am DREAMING of a 200+ lead for Australia. :95

Is that so much to ask?? :cool

That would at least be something... always a chance that India batting innings will collapse too.

Cricket is a funny old game.. Australia still have a chance :cool

I bet you that Ashwin "dropped" a catch in slips ON PURPOSE... he is the other bowler and he wants to be the one who gets the wicket.

He looks like a selfish, arrogant cheat to me. :roll

His cunning plan nearly worked with a catch.. reviewed and looks like it touched ground.. not out

Now ANOTHER appeal (LBW).... Australian review.... Remains out!!

Australia All Out

Two quick wickets for Cummins, now Lyons needs another Michelle. ;)

I'm trying to help with posts, Rumpole, but you are beating me to it.
