More One Day International (ODI) Cricket!!

My team (Australia) V The Poms

And we just thrashed them in the Test Match Series... a 5 - 0 Whitewash :cool

ODI is a different game though... many of same players as in the TEST Match team... but a few people more suited to this short form of the game.

England scored a total of 269 runs... and Ok but not great performanc.

Australia easily matched that.

UPDATE:
England batting first... setting a target for Australia.

Its a "good pitch" and so a score of 300 should be achievable

England NOT doing too well after 34 overs (of 50) they have only 157.

England DID buck up their ideas in the last few overs... mainly thanks to Morgan hitting a few 6's... helping himself to a Century (more than 100)... and helping the team total to a respectable 300

Two players out is not great... but us Ozzies will be ok :cool

VERY exciting game... Australia actually looked like losing..... well before last few overs they needed far more than a run a ball and all but one player out!!!!

A few sixes kept them just alive..... came down to needing 12 runs off last over.... and they did it with first 3 balls... a Four off each.

as a rough guide only.... the final score can be predicted to be about DOUBLE the score after 30 overs (batting rate can be increased towards the end of an innings)

With the score 4/126 after 30 overs... the experts are saying that 250 will be a "good score" on this pitch... I tend to disagree... I think 280+ is what England need to post to set a good target for Australia

Australia are "resting" 4 of best players.... the series is won by Austraia already.

Australia are now ranked No. 1 in ICC ODI World Rankings. :91

India were in top place, but the recent 2 matches lost to NZ has caused their ranking to slip to No.2 with Oz moving to No. 1 :)

This looks like a great pitch... a high score possible... I think England NEED in excess of 300... maybe 350 on this pitch to set a good target for Australia to try and match.
